location

Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur is located in the historic and idyllic coastal town of Sanur. It offers the perfect balance of today’s modern living and the charm of Bali’s yesteryear. Located on the Southeast end of the island, 15 km away from Seminyak, Sanur was one of the very first places that opened to tourism in Bali with hotels that date back to the 1950s.

From the 1920s, it attracted European artists including Belgian Le Mayeur, Swiss Theo Meier, Mexican Miguel Covarrubias, Walter Spies and Beryl De Zootes as well as the world-famous landscape artist, Australian Michael “Made Wijaya” White who all established their homes in Sanur.

Famous for its long stretch of golden sandy beach and laid-back vibes, Sanur has everything that any traveller would want - a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, friendly locals, unique restaurants and cafes, streetside bars with ice-cold beers and live music, intriguing shops selling handmade art, carvings and antiques, souvenirs and beautiful boutiques offering everything from lovely resort wear to sandals, accessories and home decor.

The beaches in Sanur are connected to one another via a long stone pathway filled with cyclists and joggers.  Unlike the waters of Seminyak and Canggu, the sea here is calm and shallow as it is protected from the waves by a long string of offshore reefs, great swimming, snorkelling and some water sports.

You’ll notice that the streets of Sanur are shaded by large, leafy trees, keeping the entire town cool and adding to its lush and calming atmosphere. There are also sidewalks in the main areas of town, so you’ll find walking with your family and little children a breeze.

Planning a day trip or an excursion to Nusa Penida or Nusa Lembongan will also be quick and easy with Sanur Port located just 5 minutes away from the hotel.
