Christmas and What to Do in Sanur

Christmas in Sanur is a good time to plan a slower holiday. Rather than a packed schedule, you can choose how to spend the days: relax, eat well and take in the festive feel of the neighborhood at your own pace.

Start with rest. Sanur's sheltered shoreline and long beachside path are made for slow mornings, whether you wake early for the sunrise, rent a bicycle or take a gentle canoe ride on calm waters. When a shower passes, the pool, the spa and a long lunch are never far away.

Plan a few restaurant visits along the way. The cafés and restaurants along Sanur Beach and around the town make it easy to build a day around good meals, from a seaside lunch to a relaxed dinner, and ICON Bali Mall is just minutes away for shopping and a break from the weather. Or simply walk through Sanur in the late afternoon and soak up the Christmas atmosphere.

For Christmas Day itself, Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur is hosting its Christmas Day Buffet Lunch on Friday, 25 December 2026, from 12.00 noon to 2.30 pm in the Griya Agung Ballroom. The afternoon is full of festive entertainment, with live music, a magic show, Christmas carols and a visit from Santa. Younger guests will find a bouncy castle, a kids' playground and teen games, so the whole family has something to enjoy.

The lunch is priced at IDR 625,000++ per adult. Book before Sunday, 6 December 2026 to enjoy the Early Bird Special at IDR 580,000++ per adult, which includes a free glass of Christmas cocktail or mocktail. Children aged 0 to 5 eat free and children aged 6 to 12 pay half price. Prices are subject to 10% service charge and 11% government tax.

The menu spreads across several stations. Begin with appetizers and salads such as grilled herbed zucchini and bell pepper salad, plum tomato wedges with pesto sauce, and orange, pomegranate, pomelo and feta cheese salad, then enjoy a soup and bread display that includes crustacean bisque with seafood ravioli scented with cognac and sour cream. Main courses include beef medallion with cream mushroom sauce, bacon-wrapped chipolatas with rosemary, grilled prawn with garlic butter sauce, stewed pork knuckle in sweet soya ginger sauce and truffle mashed potatoes, with a pasta station alongside. The carving station brings roasted leg of lamb with rosemary and mint sauce, roasted turkey with cranberry compote and roasted gammon ham with natural gravy and Dijon mustard. Finish at the dessert and live station with panettone, a chocolate Xmas log, Christmas pudding with brandy sauce, Black Forest trifle, a chocolate fountain with strawberry and marshmallow, and ice cream and sorbet.
